Brief course description:

Group model building (GMB) is a participatory systems method for engaging and working with stakeholders to understand a dynamic problem and identify potential solutions. There currently exist a variety of approaches and traditions in GMB. This master class is aimed at professionals interested in applying systems thinking within their teaching, research, and organizations.

After providing an overview of GMB, the class will introduce participants more specifically to Community Based System Dynamics that has been used around the world and places the emphasis on building communities of practice in system dynamics. The class will provide a mix of theory and practice with hands-on exercises that can be used in classrooms, organizations, and communities.
