Symposium on Social Security

Symposium on Social Security takes place on January 12, 2016 at Kent Ridge Guild House of the National University of Singapore (NUS).

Featured speakers include

Nobel Laureate Peter Diamond, the Institute Professor Emeritus at MIT will deliver a presentation on “Good Pension Design”.

Chia Ngee Choon, NAI’s Co-Director and Associate Professor of Economics of NUS will present “Adequacy of DC Pension Design: Gaps and Policies Interventions”.

Joseph Cherian, NUS’ Professor of Finance and Director of the Centre for Asset Management Research & Investments will present “Avoiding Shock & Owe: How to Retire Worry-free and Well.”

Marcus Kokthe principal pension consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers Asia Actuarial Services (PwC AAS) will join the three speakers at the final Panel Discussion with a focus on Singapore.

The Symposium is organized by NUS’s two academic institutions, Singapore Centre for Applied and Policy Economics (SCAPE) at the Department of Economics and the Next Age Institute (NAI).
